Olumide Akpata is one of Nigeria’s most distinguished legal practitioners. He served as the 30th President of the Nigerian Bar Association (2020–2022), where he championed, amongst others, human rights, good governance, and the wellbeing of legal professionals. A transformational leader, he made history as the first non-Senior Advocate of Nigeria in three decades to be elected NBA President.
For nearly three decades, Olumide was a Senior Partner at Templars, where he helped grow the firm into one of Africa’s leading commercial law practices.
He is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and has pioneered initiatives that broke down stigma and encouraged open conversations on mental wellbeing in professional circles.
